Objective:
· Define the features of the Microsoft Windows XP
· Demonstrate an understanding of how to install Microsoft Windows XP from a    CD-ROM and over the network
· Understand the TCP/IP communication process
· Microsoft Windows XP administration tools and configuration options
· Configure hardware settings
· Configure operating system settings
· Install plug-and-play and non-plug-and-play hardware

Prerequisite:
An MCPcandidate should have six to twelve months of experience implementing and administering a desktop operating system, implementing and administering a network operating system, and managing an existing network infrastructure.

If the previous prerequisite is not met, Network+ certification is highly recommended

Contents:
Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) candidates are required to pass one current Microsoft certification exam that provides a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise.
