CMSCY1001: Introduction to Computer Systems
Prerequisites :None

The aim of this subject is to develop the student's appreciation of computer terminology and its applications. They need to understand the use and manipulation of various number systems applicable in computing. The subject also describes how the data is stored and executed in a computer. In addition, they get a knowledge of the various Input and output peripherals, and acquire a basic touch of the different types of operating systems and their merits.
